Christian life Assembly

vision
Cla kigali

Christian Life Assembly, Kigali is an english speaking, cell based church that was started by missionaries Elmer and Sherry Komant in 1998. Just four years after the genocide which brought this small country to its knees, CLA has been used by God to help rebuild broken lives in a broken country.

The Vision ...

The Cell based Church
There are two primary meeting times for our church, Sunday Morning Celebration and Wednesday Evening Cells.
Mercy Ministry
Currently we have four homes which are designed to help widows with HIV get healthy and integrate back into society. We provide food, transportation, healthcare and job training - even provide schooling sponsorship for their children.
Health and Wellness Center
For over two years we have been planning the Health and Wellness Center which will provide basic healthcare and prenatal and birthing services to those who need it. The building is going up as we type. We are trusting for the remainder of the funds to come in for completion soon.
Youth sports center
CLA started in a large tent 12 years ago which still stands today. With a bit of a facelift, we have begun a ministry to young people, using sports as a means to draw them in. We have seen many young people come to Christ and discipled since this ministry launched.
Church planting
In the past year, we have planted three Kinyarwanda speaking church around Kigali, with the latest being just east of Kigali on a donated property we are using for agriculture.
Vocational Training Center
Our biggest project of all, the Intango Vocational Training Center is planned and awaiting funds. This mammoth project will cost several million dollar, but is such a need in Rwanda. Over 60% of children do not go past grade 6 and we want to provide skills training to help them have a future in a skills deprived country.
Botanical Gardens
With a lack of green space in the city of Kigali, we’ve constructed a beautiful retreat from the hustle and bustle. A place to pray and focus on God, this has also become a great place for outdoor functions.
Wellspring academy
Working closely with The Wellspring Foundation, a Christian school has grown on the grounds of CLA. Currently the school goes to grade 8, with a new grade added each year.http://thewellspringfoundation.comhttp://thewellspringfoundation.comshapeimage_21_link_0shapeimage_21_link_1
