Eric’s Call To Sudan
This video was originally shown at CLA, Kigali’s January 10, 2010 service to demonstrate how God calls us to step out in faith to follow His call for us. Eric, a young man from Christian Life Assembly, shares a bit of his story.
At the end of the service a spontaneous offering was taken and over $1,000 US was raised to not only cover his expenses, but also his training (a three month course, beginning April). Also donated to him was a portable water purifier and a digital camera.
He left for the mountains of Sudan on Monday, January 11 to live in the community he refers to in the video. He has inspired many young people at CLA to do great things for the glory of God. We will be watching and praying for Eric with anticipation.
A Good Use of Christmas Benevolence
This video was also shown at our January 10, 2010 service. Again the point was to show how God calls us to step out to do something out of the ordinary.
Watch the video and you will be amazed at the challenges many people struggle with in Rwanda because of unusual laws. Although, on the whole, the national health care plan seems fair and beneficial, it is enforced by some unusual and questionable means.
Through the ladies of our church, some amazing ministries have been started - the most notable being our Mercy Ministries to widows with HIV/AIDS. To date, four homes have been either leased or purchased to house these women with their children.
